Lately, we noticed something a little different about Meg.

She’s been gaining weight… and her udders have started to change. So, we called in the expert, Dr. Metcalf, to take a closer look and help us understand what was going on.

Since Meg came to us as a rescue already pregnant, the father is a bit of a mystery. And when the possibilities range from a mini donkey to a draft horse… let’s just say, predicting this baby’s arrival isn’t exactly straightforward.

The Countdown Begins

What we do know is this: Meg is at least seven months along. Which means: this little one could arrive sooner than we think.

It’s hard to believe that the same horse we rushed to save, suffering from a large open wound on her stomach, was quietly carrying this incredible secret the whole time.
