Rosie's Road to Joint Relief
On February 19, during our routine hoof picking, we noticed Rosie was having difficulty lifting her front leg. Given her normally easy-going nature, we knew something was amiss.
A Closer Look
Dr. Metcalf conducted a thorough lameness exam and took x-rays of Rosie's knee. The results revealed bone spurs, likely due to age and possibly a past injury.
Treatment and Relief
To alleviate Rosie's discomfort, Dr. Metcalf administered a steroid injection to soothe her joints. He plans to follow up with another injection of Arthramid in the same location in a week or two. This additional treatment aims to restore movement to the affected joint.
