Meet Bob Boat, Our Newest Rescue Goat!

When the wonderful woman behind Green Goat Hat Company stopped by with the most generous surprise—custom hats for our entire team—she also arrived with a second gift.

“I have a goat for you,” she said. “He’s been… naughty.”

One Goat, Too Much Talent

Bob Boat had been an only child. He loved people, got along with the family dog, and (unfortunately) loved jumping fences… and occasionally onto her husband’s vehicle. He was smart, social, and super athletic. It was clear he needed a place where his talents wouldn’t get him into trouble, so we lovingly welcomed him to our Sanctuary!

First Day, First Leap

Because Bob had never been around donkeys before, we started him in a stall to help him settle in.

That plan lasted approximately five minutes.

Bob promptly jumped over the stall. Turns out, he can jump just about anything.

Finding His People (Goats)

That first night, Bob was placed in a stall with other goats. Something clicked. He loved them instantly! And just like that, the escaping stopped. He hasn’t tried to break out since.

Bob arrived as a “people goat,” but he’s happily transitioned into a true goat’s goat. He chooses companionship over chaos and seems perfectly content hanging out with his new friends.

Parkour… With Purpose

One fun fact about Bob Boat is that he can jump over anything (or anyone), but now he chooses not to. Because sometimes the real adventure isn’t the parkour…it’s the friends you make along the way.

Welcome home, Bob Boat. We’re so glad you’re here.
