Meet Pistachio: Our Foster Pup in Waiting

Pistachio is a sweet, 4-month-old pup with a mix of many breeds and a heart full of curiosity. He came to us from Fort Worth Animal Care and Control, our amazing partner in helping animals find safe, loving homes.

A Life-Changing Opportunity

Thanks to our partnership, Pistachio has been tagged for transport to another rescue outside of North Texas. An incredible family is ready to adopt him—but transportation won’t be available for a few weeks. Without a temporary home, he could miss this life-changing opportunity.

Home Sweet Foster Home

That’s where we step in! Pistachio will be staying with us at the Sanctuary, enjoying an air-conditioned stall during the day and a yard to play in. Our dedicated ranch team will provide all the love, care, and attention he needs while he waits for his forever family. He’s a little skinny but otherwise healthy, and he’s already settling in beautifully.

Sunshine After a Tough Week

Helping animals is our passion, but it’s not always easy. Just last week, we said goodbye to Orion, a horse we fought for over a year. Moments like these are tough—but fostering a puppy like Pistachio brings sunshine back to the Sanctuary and reminds us why we do this work.
