A Little Bit About Me...
Max doesn't look like our typical rescue. He's been well cared for, has beautifully maintained hooves, and has been deeply loved throughout his 18 years. His owner, Karen, wanted more than good care for Max—she wanted him to have companionship and a place where he could truly thrive! When she realized he was lonely despite his excellent care, she made the selfless decision to bring him to the Sanctuary. Max also has Cushing's Disease, which is well-managed with a daily half-tablet of medication.
